Decor Fact - Shabby Chic Window Treatment Ideas

Shabby Chic Window Treatment Ideas - Do you think you're wondering what to use for window treatments within your Shabby Chic decorating style room? Right here tips to consider that are simple and will include that special Shabby Chic touch to any room.
We presume of window coverings as something to offer privacy and to let in (or repel) light, heat, or cold. However, Shabby Chic window treatments are a fun way to include decoration to an area by providing a "frame" for the window.
Within the Shabby Chic decorating style use fabrics that are basic and relaxed rather than fussy, use something soft in place of stiff, and make use of something which is loosely shaped as opposed to a tight configuration. Window dressings which has a rounded rather than a hard-edged look will be more casual than formal and better fit the Shabby Chic decorating style.
For an unstructured, effortless look, windows may well be swathed with an ample amount of loose fabric that is allowed to puddle gently on the floor. The tranquility of a plain white blind or a Roman shade works nicely to provide privacy. If you prefer a more formal but casual Shabby Chic look, consider utilising light easy-care fabrics such as lightweight velvet, muslin or poplin to create a draping effect.
Certainly one of my favorite Shabby Chic drapes and window treatments is with small, wooden slat salmon-colored window shades Using a medium-weight cream-colored lace valance. It provides privacy also adds a soft touch of color on the room and the lace valence provides a touch of elegance.
A tapestry swag valance using a sheer underlining draped loosely over a curtain rod is the one other attractive window covering to use in a very Shabby Chic room. The curtains possess a softer look while adding a touch of formality to a space.
A basic interior decorating idea to consider is to never skimp on yardage when choosing fabrics. Insufficient width or length of fabric may take from the elegant and luxurious look of any window treatment be it Shabby Chic or every other decorating style.
